QUALITY ASSURANCE

Our Zeiss Vista CMM with Calypso software can use your solid model for fully automated inspection of your parts. Our staff is fully trained in the use of inspection microscopes up to 100X, comparators, and an optical measuring machine to verify the quality of in-process parts.
We machined the spherical portion of this sculpture. It is an 8" sphere with 3 ripple patterns evenly spaced on the surface. The sphere is magnetically levitated above the base. It was produced for the sculptor Tom Shannon, who was commissioned by the TED Community. The sculpture was presented as an award to three outstanding individuals in the areas of technology, entertainment, and design. The entertainer who received the award this year was Bono of U2 for his humanitarian efforts in Africa.
